WWE legend The Undertaker angrily snapped back at a fan who hit the Deadman with a long-running joke that’s waring thin.
The iconic performer, who retired from active competition in 2020, is widely regarded as wrestling’s greatest ever character creation.
The myth of the Deadman has long since been smashed to pieces, however, thanks to the veteran’s successful podcast series, Six Feed Under, the YouTube channel for which has racked up over 120 million views in under a year.
The series has been used by the Texan to share stories from inside and outside the ring during the course of his unrivalled career, with some surprising facts coming to light.
Not least would be the tale, long rumoured online before Taker hung up his trademark black hat and coat, that he has a deep fear of cucumbers.

The Phenom used a previous episode of Six Feet Under to finally explain the tale, tracing its roots back to childhood as he explained: “When I was just a wee little Undertaker… I come home from school one day. My mother had taken a bunch of fresh cucumbers and cut them up into slices and had them soaking in a big bowl of vinegar.
“I proceeded to eat the whole bowl of cucumbers soaked in vinegar. Well, something about that didn’t settle well with my stomach. Shortly after I ate all of the cucumbers, I expelled all of the contents of my stomach.
“From that moment on, the smell, for a long time even to see a cucumber I would get somewhat, I wouldn’t say nauseous, but queasy. Smell a cucumber? Forget about it.”
With the truth revealed and the tale finally told, the multi-time former world champion might’ve considered the matter put to bed, but fans appear to have a different idea.

In a more recent instalment, Taker joined co-host Matt Lyda in reviewing some troll comments left on the channel by viewers – many of them directed at Lyda, to the Undertaker’s great amusem*nt.
One jibe was tossed Undertaker’s way, though. The 59-year-old listened as Lyda read a comment from a user, ‘DragonChaser’, which read: “A cucumber should’ve broken the streak,” referring to the wrestler’s famed WrestleMania undefeated streak that was halted by Brock Lesnar in unforgettable scenes.
Visibly irritated, the real-life Mark Calaway snapped: “There ain’t no need for that. Whoever said that?
“The Dragon Chaser, I got something you can chase, how about that? I got something you can chase with your damn cucumber comments.

“I’m getting a little fed up with the cucumber stuff, really.
“I may just slap the next person who says I’m scared of cucumbers. I’m not scared of cucumbers. I don’t like cucumbers. They taste awful. They smell horrible.
“They upset my stomach when I was a kid. That’s the only thing. I don’t like cucumbers; I don’t like the smell of them. I ain’t scared of nothing.”
Having calmed a little, Undertaker then added jokingly with a little more of a smile:“ Why do you have to bring up cucumbers?
“DragonChaser. I’m gonna chase your ass down the street and beat you with a cucumber. How about that?”

Undertaker’s epic run in WWE began in 1990 at Survivor Series, after which he went on to win the WWE title for the first time at the expense of Hulk Hogan the following year.
Among his other notable wins came in the main event of WrestleMania XIII in 1997 as he was again crowned WWE champ, unseating Sycho Sid, who tragically passed away this week.
