Food for thought... quite frankly I can (and do) live with a 'messy' house because although it might not look aesthetically pleasing to others, it's my system and it works for me and everyone who lives with me. But a brand is for other people who don't 'live' with you to understand and make sense of as quickly, simply and positively as possible - so clean, straightforward and standout is what it needs.

It’s funny you should say that because I think I NEED to know her - my house has too much “stuff” in it - but it’s part of who I am!I am just about to bring my niche authority to the world though which will bring my brand back to all the ❤️ points you make and make sure the ❌ points disappear! 💥

I love that concept of everything needing to spark joy - I'm going to look her up. It's a brilliant rule of thumb.

I love the connection you have made between something that is about restructuring the way we store in the house and you doing your brand, very clever. Also great points to consider re our brands.

I’ve been doing a lot of decluttering over the last 18 months and it’s such a great concept, does this spark joy? It’s really helped me work out what to keep and what to let go of.Definitely a concept to take into my business and branding….

This sounds like we all need a bit of a brand refresh from time to time, Sapna. In one day too? Sounds like a great offer, especially as often we don't give this enough attention.

I thought, you know, September's a new season, the big fashwan month, and as I lost some weight, I need to refresh my wardrobe for various events coming up, like Enfys Maloney’s Extravaganza (don't worry, I also use Vinted and eBay, my fellow eco-friends!). Anyway, I Googled 'Red dress' and this came up. I mean, that's one way to 'get visible' and make an impact but WTF?!?!Can anyone explain this garment to me?! WHERE would you wear it?HOW does it stay up?Answers on a postcard or in comments please...And if you have any good red look ideas as I'm looking for inspo, please share them too!(PS, I know - the model may have my colouring but I assure you it's not me 🤣 )#FridayFun #brandcolours #RedDress #vibrantconnections

It seems like I'm late to the party here - but if you make video content - or you want to -you tried Descript yet? Despite being a confident speaker, presenter or interviewer when I'm with an audience or even doing Facebook lives, it's no secret that I struggle with producing recorded video content. I think it's the idea that it will be watched time and time again that freezes this recovering-perfectionist's brain. But thanks to top business coach Melitta Campbell - Value Whisperer and YouTuber Greg Preece - both raved about the platform - I’m now a convert to Descript too.It creates a (pretty accurate) transcript of any video upload... Then you can use either manual text editing or smart tools to take out any ‘ummms’, ‘ahs’, pauses or fluffs, and put together a really slick video in record time. You can also drop in images, B-roll, a host of caption styles, media and music. And it’s so easy, I think this will be a game-changer for me. I’m still on the free trial, but I’m going to upgrade as soon as I burn through that credit! Check out my first edited video using Descript on Tuesday’s post… https://is.gd/87Ne8aAnd give it a try here: (Link in comments)

Have you ever invested in a designer bag, classic watch or even a stunning item of furniture? Maybe you thought long and hard before buying it? But then thought, “I deserve this!”...and it has since 'sparked joy' every time you use it...and kind of almost paid for itself on a ‘cost per use’ basis. That’s what you get when you work with me - but for your brand!I've had some people visibly *smart* when they learned the investment needed for my One Day Brand product. (Actually: you're paying for 30 years' experience, not a day, and getting a slower result in business is rarely seen as a good thing!)But my clients are smarter! They GET IT.They love the results, of course, but they also value their TIME.(I mean, what's the cost to you of weeks or months of back-and-forth amends, calls, meetings, emails? What’s the cost of your sanity and lost sales as you ‘make do’ with your current brand?) Let’s bring it back to that 'cost per use' metric. Consider that your new brand will be working HARD for you every single second of every single day, year in, year out, on every platform, online and off-line, for an average of 5 to 6 years (roughly 100,000 days) to:❤️ Attract more and better clients❤️ Create more confidence for them and you...allowing you to...❤️ Finally charge your worth. Rough maths puts the One Day Brand investment at a *fraction* of penny per day!And unlike most of the above purchases, you'll be making that investment BACK within weeks or months.MONEY you will always make back.TIME you never will. Don’t you and your business deserve all of this and more? (Better still we have payment plans so you can spread the cost over 3 months!) Let’s have a chat - DM me.And I’d love to know in the comments if you have ever bought an investment piece that continues to spark joy for you :) (Pictured: my desk - aka the ‘desk of dreams’ which I LOVE!)

Justin Woods kindly offered to join my last 'Six-Figure Brand Masterclass' and this is what he had to say..."What's really important for me is I think the brand really represents value for money. I had ONE day with Sapna...and now I have the power of my brand serving meevery single moment, of every single day, in multiple places online. So for me, that really is why my brand is the gift that keeps giving." For more on how the rebrand transformed so much more than just his business...watch his talk here:And if you value your time as much as you should (and your time will be worth more after working with me, I guarantee) - DM me.PS if you want to know when my next Six-Figure Brand masterclass is, comment below! #TuesdayTestimonial

VERY excited as this morning we're off to meet this little darling!I used to have a dog when I was growing up, but have not had one of my own since leaving my parental home.My boys (now 14 and 11) have been asking for a dog for ages but when they were littler, life was more busy (running them to all the clubs!), we were setting up our businesses and our house and garden were too small. Now we have a bigger house and good-sized garden, the businesses are established, the boys take themselves to clubs and we live within 5-20 mins walk of 6 parks, the time feels right. As the only former dog-owner in the family, I know that it is a huge commitment, (like having another child!)So we're testing the waters with what I can only describe as like a dating site matching dog owners and their dogs with dog borrowers! I met my husband 15 years ago on match.com and I'm almost getting that same frisson of excitement when a new message pops up in my inbox and you swap a few messages, then arrange to meet - this time for a potential fluffy friend too!The site is called #BorrowMyDoggy and I'll post the link in comments.Have any of you used the site before? (And did it become a way of life, or did you get your own dog after?)I'd love to know!#BankHoliday #dogs #dogsofLinkedInEdit: It's International Dog Day!!! I had no idea!!! #internationalDogDay Thank you Lea 🌈 Turner!

Have you ever taken an ice bath? It’s meant to be great for …❤️ clarity of thought❤️ mindset❤️ energy levels and ❤️ boosting your immunity. I’ve been on quite a wellness journey this last couple of years (since my cancer diagnosis - I’m all clear now). so I thought I’d give it a go last weekend at Camp Bestival. Brrrr! Our 3-hour #WimHof workshop ended with us sitting in an ice bath for two minutes at 1°C and if I’m honest, my main takeaway was intense brain freeze! Hubby Andy Pieroux is now running the taps cold at the end of each shower, and I tried to do that on Tuesday, but I had to empathise when my friend said, “Oooh no! I’d rather be warm and a bit more unhealthy!”I did also observe that a tin bath with cold water is how the poorest of Victorians might have bathed, but today there’s big money in it! Being born in Mauritius, I think I’m genetically programmed for warmth… But I’d really love to be able to do the cold water thing, for health reasons. So for those cold-water fans… have you got any tips?Or do you think the whole thing’s a bit bonkers?#fridayFun #frrrrrrridayFun! #frrrrrrreeezingFun

I'd planned a post about visibility to grow your business and brand today (after a much-needed holiday and social detox), but I have to admit that recent events left me a little shaken. And I couldn't ignore them. Because I'm an immigrant too. I mean, I've lived here since I was two (when my doctor parents came over to work for the NHS) and am very 'British' (whatever that means, not that it matters) and am married to an Englishman Andy Pieroux (whose dad was Belgian) but this stuff still hits hard. Because it's a reminder that me and my (half-white but brown-faced) children will always be seen as 'other' by many (it's just that most of them won't riot about it).And although in business, I help my clients to stand out and be seen, I've often felt that our lives might be easier, if we could choose to blend in.Since becoming a mum, I started to avoid the news as it caused me anxiety. I just prefer to focus on people doing good in the world (and the news doesn't). But of course the big stuff always gets through, usually via social media. So, in Faro airport, we were jolted back to reality by news of planned riots starting less than a mile from our London home just in time for our return. Hubby started planning a safer route back for when we landed ...until updates claimed that the protests were moving location. Nevertheless, we got home to find our local shops closed early with all the shutters down. We grabbed a few provisions from Sainsbury's (thankfully not yet shut) and put all the locks on as neighbours urged everyone to stay in and stay safe via our WhatsApp group. We then had to tell my boys (aged 11 and 14) that simply because of how they look, they'll have to be more careful leaving the house.I felt sad saying that to them. That there is so much hatred in this world. So still avoiding the news, I came onto LinkedIn to bury my head in the sand, crack on with work stuff and write that post about visibility... Only to see my feed flooded with images and stories of peaceful and loving counter-protests ...Then I got a sweet message in my DMs from Jo Tedds, checking to see I was OK...(thank you, I am now). So, I finally dared go check an actual news feed and saw even more wonderful articles... Beautiful and uplifting pictures and stories of love, kindness, gentle stoicism, solidarity and bravery in the face of hatred. If you have a minute, do watch this video about the Imam who hugged and fed would-be rioters (Link in Comments) ...and feel free to share any more uplifting stories with me in the comments.Thank you to my LinkedIn community. You reminded me that there are more good people in the world than bad.#Love WILL conquer all. (It has to, right?!)Happy Friday and I hope you have a wonderfully peaceful weekend. xxx(Photo Credit: Ian Cooper/AFP/Getty Images)

Camping: do you love it or loathe it?I HATE CAMPING. There. I said it.As comedian Scott Bennett says, it’s like “living in an emergency… (and) endless nights, trapped in an orchestra of angry zips”! I used to go to loads of festivals and camped more for convenience to be close to the music rather than anything else. But I’ve never chosen a pure ‘camping holiday’. I’d rather stay at home! 🤣I still love a festival, but since kids we’ve either hired a camper van or glamped. So I’m not going back!Scott’s sketch on camping is hilarious (link in comments) so I thought it was a great way to end the week before my holibobs (NOT in a tent…!)So tell me: Camping: do you LOVE or LOATHE it - and why?! #FridayFun
